Pack 116 was founded in 1970. Our charter organization is the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3413, off of Hunter Road.

Pack 116 has always been an active pack.  There have always been 3 - 4 planned camp-outs every year. We camp out at State Parks.  There is usually one practice campout in November, a polar bear camp out in January, one in March, and a chili pepper campout in August. We also have two major fundraisers during the year: a BBQ fundraiser, and a booth at Sights and Sounds where we sell pretzels.

Other annual activities have been: Rain-gutter Regatta, Pinewood Derby, Rocket Derby (always a blast), Texas Parks and Wildlife Expo, Veterans Day Parade, and Report to State Parade.

Our summer activities have included pool parties, trips to the San Antonio Zoo, Natural Bridge Caverns, and the Bob Bullock Museum, this past summer we had an overnight stay at the Texas State Aquarium, where we earned our Wildlife Conservation belt loop and pin
